Every person is on a journey. Every gathering of people is just a point in their respective journeys that has brought them together. Such is the case with The Great Bonfire. Five musicians whose journeys brought them together in the summer of 2016 to rediscover their musical abilities together with the hope of sharing it with the world.

Founding member Michael Robert, had found a rejuvenated love for the acoustic guitar and writing poetic songs that reflected his world. After years of performing his catalog as a solo act, he longed to collaborate with a band that could breathe new life into these songs. Needing a foundation for this newly created sound, he met with his former bandmates; Bassist Michael Steinmetz and Drummer/Vocalist James White. The trio had a 20 year history of making music together and now reunited, were eager to see how their years apart would translate into sound.

Their journey was not yet ready to begin until they gained the talents of classically trained pianist Michael Karabian and the heart-pounding pipes of Vocalist Danielle Joyner. Now that the players were in place they began to create their new identity together and have joined their abilities to bring forth The Great Bonfire.

The Great Bonfire is a blend of over 20 years of musical bliss. Each member brings their own style to the fold to create a refreshing mixture of music that blends several styles of music and heart-felt lyrics that tug at the heart-strings of all who hear them.

The emotional and physical perspiration put forth by this quintet will have their audiences relieved that were there, but anxious that it will end. The Great Bonfire’s journey is just beginning, but the road ahead will welcome people endlessly along the way as they set out to search out music-lovers that are also looking to break the silence……………………………
