Richie Angelucci, Ryan Valotta, and Bobby Pirylis have been individually successful for decades combined in the tri state area and east coast music scene. Rich and Ryan are former vocalist and guitarist members of Crystal Roxx, one the area’s most prominent and respected bands of the last 15 years. Equally experienced and respected, Bobby Pirylis (drummer) hails from Octane, another highly regarded tri state area cover band, as well as the current original act Fosterchild.
The SideArm trio kind of naturally evolved from Rich & Ryan’s duo group, in wanting to plug in for a full electric vibe – they had been in contact with Bob, had similar interests and musical taste and it came together very quickly and easily. With his skill as a drummer/percussionist/vocalist, it was a welcome addition having Bob join in.
Their diverse play list includes everything from Elvis to Led Zeppelin, Dave Matthews to Melissa Etheridge, Metallica to Prince, Tears For Fears to Tool – 50s/60s/70s/80s/90s/current, rock/pop/classic rock/new wave/dance/r&b/funk/blues.
With their experience in different bands, all three members are very diverse and enjoy mixing it up at shows, taking requests constantly, establishing a more personable rapport with the crowd – with over 300+ songs, they could play 8 nights in a row and never repeat a song!
Richie handles everything from Melissa Etheridge, Stevie Wonder, 4 Non Blondes, Led Zeppelin, Sting, U2, and Filter.
Ryan’s playing ranges from David Gilmour, Dream Theater, Stevie Ray Vaughn, Eddie Van Halen, Satriani, Al DiMeola, classical, etc.
Bob grew up playing to Zeppelin and Rush and with playing in numerous cover bands over the years is well versed in different styles, and handles lead vocals on some songs.
Their energetic, fun, dynamic, light to hard-hitting, humorous and personable style along with their diverse range of songs will fit any occasion.
